With so many students riding to school for our Cycle to School event we had to move the slow bike race to the end of the school day because we didn't want to get those bikes in and out of the bike shed more than once!

Sometimes schools get concerned about cyclist behaviour around schools and may even take the unfortunate step of trying to ban cycling outright or for certain age groups. Today we heard that the crosswalk we applied for last year is scheduled for installation in the April/May school holidays. We are very excited about being able to provide our students with safer access to learning!
The TS team met again today and we did some planning for the Ride2School Day. We organised the baseline survey to be conducted tomorrow morning and planned how we are going to run the treasure hunt as a reward for the most TravelSmart class on 22 March.
We also had a raffle to work out who would announce a reminder for the event over the PA on 21st March - Tara and Aurora, and who would announce the winning class and news about the treasure hunt - Madi and Dana.
I just wanted to share our school plan with everyone. Hopefully you find it useful.
