You can change the world by changing your trip to school!
We have finally completed our "hands up " survey for our school. Out of 314 students surveyed we have 223 that travel to school by car!!!! Our aim this year is to try and change this number. We are thinking of having a bike/scooter obstacle course day later on in the year and hope that that attracts more children to use alternative transport than driving. Our first walk to school day of the year will be Friday May 13th (We chose this day as our upper school will be on camp on the national…Continue

A meeting with our Travelsmart smarties has already taken place, where we discussed their roles related to Footprint Friday for e.g. who will be standing at the entrances of our school each morning handing out raffle tickets? Is this going to be done as a rotation?…Continue

Well done to the 80+ travel smarties who all received a travelsmart sticker (from our Assistant Principal) and then twelve (12) students were lucky enough to be drawn and received a $10 National Geographic voucher.
Girls comprised 66% of all travelsmarties in Term 1 (using active travel). Interestingly, this was also reflected in the raffle…
